ABOUT US............
John A Stephens Netball Club was founded in the Summer of 2006 with a squad of only 5!! We have been growing ever since and now have over 20 affiliated members ranging from 14-50!! Since the club was formed we have been lucky enough to receive Sponsorship from John A Stephens Builders Merchants (hence the name!) and as a club we thank them for their continued support.
We train every Monday evening in East Leake and have the luxury of Indoor courts in the Winter! We currently have 2 squads, the RED team and GREEN team and play at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre in the local Nottinghamshire league on both a Saturday and a Sunday. We also play on a Thursday evening at Rolls Royce in Derby under the name of RED IFA. As well as the leagues we try and enter as many tournaments as possible including the Notts City Mixed Tournament where we are two time CHAMPIONS!! - Just thought i'd get that in!! :-). We also go on an annual trip to Pontins in Wales, and have done so since we started in 2006. (Most members would tell you, this is the best weekend of the year!)
We are always on the look out for new players of all abilities (aged 14+) so please feel free to contact us for more information. We are a very sociable club, so whether you're looking for a bit of fun and regular exercise or a competitive standard of netball we are the club for you!
